Event Horizions

One topic that is always interesting to me is personal development. It is especially of interest since the time that my first child was born about a year ago. I have been able to learn a lot about personal development from other people that I know, some of them providing good examples and some of them providing bad examples.

One of the things that I have been especially interested in is the result of providing opportunities for personal growth for your kids. A couple of my best friends were excellent examples of the importance of letting your kids work hard to develop. I had a friend who got a job at the same store as me and at the same time. However, there was one significant development in the way that his parents and my parents did things. His parents basically gave him and his brother whatever they wanted. This meant that they didn’t have to work for much of anything. My parents, on the other hand, taught us that we should be responsible for working for things that we wanted. Working provided a lot of opportunities for personal development that have really paid off during my life. I hope to teach my kids the same way.

I work the desk of a local hotel, usually doing the swing shift, but also sometimes doing the late night shift as well. At night, if need be, I will also clean rooms if there are no customers to deal with. The job is a good one, I believe, because I get to deal with very nice people from all over the country on a regular basis. Also our place has a lot of good shows coming through, really inspiring rock bands and outfits from all over.

I am so happy that I got this job. Anyway, there is a strong need to keep up with what is going on in the world of hotel news and to discern from reports just what people are working towards in the world of hotels. Many folks will tell you that hotels are all the same, but actually they are as varied as any other sort of business that you will come into contact with. For any sports lover, there is something thrilling about being at a big game. Sometimes just being near the game is more exciting than sitting at home doing nothing. Some people love to tailgate just before a game even if they don’t have tickets to go in.
