Heavy Equipment Finance and Gold Mining

When my husband was a little kid, the one thing his family always did was go to the ranch his grandparents owned. The ranch was located in northern California, so for them, it was a fun vacation. Apparently they had to literally boil water so they could have a warm shower, and put the food that needed to be refrigerated in the creek that was always below freezing. My husband did say there was one thing that he always got excited about, though, and that was looking for gold.

Now that my husband and his siblings are much older, they don’t go to the ranch very often. If they do go, it’s to fix the roof or remove trees that have died or fallen, but this past summer they went for a very different reason. They went to mine for gold. Mining for gold is not an easy process, and it takes a lot of heavy equipment, so my brother-in-law made sure to do a little heavy equipment finance so they could have the materials they needed to find the gold they were looking for. After about a month of searching and heavy equipment finance, they decided the time and money for the project was no longer worth it. They sold the heavy equipment, paid back the loan, and went home to look back at this experience as an adventure of a lifetime.
